Encinal Yacht Club invites all youth to experience the fun and thrill of sailing at our facility on the Oakland/Alameda Estuary. Throughout the year we offer beginning through advanced sailing instructions to youth, ages 8 to 18. Our instructors are all experienced sailors, and certified to teach by the US Sailing Association. It is not necessary to be a member. We emphasize fun and safety. Our Summer Program operates for 9 weeks, Monday-Thursday. Morning classes run from 8:30-12:00 and afternoon classes run from 1:00-4:30. For more information, see our Junior Sailing Parent's Guide.
